What do these shows have in common? WEAPONS of course! Michonne carries a katana and is extremely good with it. She doesn't talk much, tends to brood, and is a very good tactician. And man, does she ever get the job done. Daryl is our bad boy with an attitude and a crossbow. As we've seen in the 2k3 'toon, Raph was damn good with a 'bow too. The English language is the shizz, this I am painfully aware of. There are so many slang words - as you can see from the first sentence - and so many words from other languages folded into everyday speech that it’s a wonder those of us born in English speaking countries can even manage its intricacies. It doesn’t help that the age of texting requires us to shorten words and leave out punctuation just to get a message to fit. That tendency has an unfortunate habit of bleeding over into real written communication, where it does not belong. The other day someone left a comment on a story I posted over on FanFiction.net that informed me in no uncertain terms that Donatello’s name was actually spelled DonEtello and that his nickname was spelled Donnie. This same ‘smarter than everyone else in the universe’ reader pointed out that the TMNT did not curse and did not have a cat.
