He moved slowly and with precision, each step measured and silent as he slinked across the floor. His eyes sparkled with delight as he hunted out his prey. He could see him, his shell was to him and that small tail was as enticing as ever as it flicked back and forward.
Settling down he waited, legs bent in anticipation of his pounce. The head turned, his view finally blocked by the shell and he moved. Leg muscles uncoiled pushing him forward in a ball of orange fur to attack the smaller unsuspe
No
“No,” Raph said adamantly, firmly planting his feet on the sidewalk.
“Yes,” April replied, trying to push against his shell. It was a useless attempt; he was as immobile as a brick wall.
“You promised,” April said, hoping words would get him moving.
“That was before ya’ told me what ya’ wanted me ta do,” Raph said crossly. “Ya’ knew I wouldn’t like it, that’s why ya’ hustled me into the van and hijacked me over here without telling me what was going on.”
“If I had told you in advance, you wouldn’t have shown up,” Apri
"This sucks," Raphael grumbled as he followed his family.
"Why?" his brother asked, blue eyes bright, grin wide as he jumped and landed in one puddle. "Food!"
Raphael grimaced as the sewage splashed onto his legs.
He gave Mikey an unimpressed glare. It wasn't very impressing to begin with, as it was too dark to make it a proper, angry one.
"'cuz it's boring," he growled. Mikey laughed.
"Michelangelo, Raphael," and the brothers looked up. Splinter had stopped a bit away, eerily lit up by the candle Don was holding and protecting from their damp surroundings. "Do not trail behind."
Mikey nodded and skipped up to them.
Raph groaned and d
Walk a Mile
April tried to hide her excitement as she walked downstairs with Casey. She was impressed with how nice he looked in his suit, his hair tied back and shoes polished; he appeared to be very refined.
Opening the apartment door to see him like that had put to rest April’s doubts about the elegant night out that he’d promised her. When he’d told her a week earlier that he’d gotten reservations at Le Bernadin, one of the most exclusive restaurants in the city, April had at first thought it was a joke. Casey had been completely serious when he had explained that he wanted to prove he could give her more than
The heavy weight of the wooden planks made his arms tremble.
He wasn't sure how long he had been in this position; on his knees, hands pressed firmly to the cold, rough concrete floor. It felt like mere seconds, but he was sure the shock, the adrenaline, had only just begun to wear off.
He was breathing heavily. He was afraid to look, because there was a damn good reason he was holding up the heavy weight.
Michelangelo opened his eyes.
Donatello laid beneath him. Still out cold, and Mikey still wasn't sure what had happened. His brother had just suddenly fallen down, frozen, reminding him a little of a robot whose batteries just went out.

Prologue
"Shit! Shit! Where did it go?" Raph yelled; his lips curled back from his teeth, mouth open as he sucked air into overworked lungs.
Don glanced at his brother and then turned to look into the darkness of the underground tunnel, heart thumping in his chest as he fought to catch his breath. "Down there I think. I saw movement."
"Donny, where's your bag?" Leo called as he stepped carefully over rocks and soil, his katanas out.
"I lost it when the ground gave way and dropped us here," Don said. "I think it's under a pile of dirt."
"We're lucky we aren't under a pile of dirt," Mikey said. "I've never seen anything move so
